RESCUES ARE STRUGGLING, PLEASE DO YOUR PART
If you FOUND A CAT outside, it is up to YOU to first do everything in your power to help the cat yourself (rescues will provide food/supplies/guidance). Learn more here. Rescues are full, so space is limited, but if you need help with TNR, if you can foster, or if you need financial help for a stray cat, etc., rescues can often cover costs.
If you need to "REHOME" YOUR CAT, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY as the owner to find them a new home. It's unfair to expect a rescue to do the work for you. You made a commitment, so unless there are extreme circumstances, it is up to YOU to put in the time/effort to find YOUR cat a new home. Use NextDoor, Rehome by Adopt-a-Pet.com, Home-Home.org, Pet Finder, social media, your vet, etc. There is also financial assistance to help you keep your pet. Every cat we take from an owner means one less cat saved from the streets.
